Mistakes

Something made me think again today, it has been on my mind everytime I read a prey, especially at church.

Whenever we prey at church (which is every week) we always ask forgivness for our sins. Surly if we are asking for forgivness we are wanting to start a fresh, try not to sin. But every week we ask for forgivness, surly if we are asking for it this often then is is a normal occurance and we are not trying to make amense in the days to come.

Are we always sinning in this case? Can we not change at all and not sin? Or are we all trying to make up for the original sin? Then surly what must we do in order to be forgiven for sin?

Yeah I know what you mean Em. We do always seem to be asking for forgiveness don't we?

Maybe it just shows that we are all only human and make mistakes.

I think we should all try not to of course, but it's good to know that we have a safety net in Gods' love and willingness to forgive us when we do make mistakes.

It was really good to meet you at Runway tonight. If you would like to come to Re:Generation on Wednesday we'd love to have you join us.

It starts at 7.30pm, but some do come for 7.00pm. We finish the "Service" at about 8.30pm but then everyone hangs around till about 9.30pm when we have doughnuts
and coke and chat etc. Some play on the table tennis and pool tables or go outside to play football. It's a good get together for young people with a good message thrown in. You should enjoy it.

We meet at North Street Methodist Church in Crewe.

You're a thinker, Em! Wow, I didn't have such deep thoughts at your age.

You've got me thinking now too... Yes, we do all go away from church having had our sins forgiven, just knowing that we'll be back next week asking again for the fresh batch! Is it possible to not sin? I don't think it can be, unless you're God.

There's a Bible verse that says 'Be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect' and some people would say that means it must be possible to be perfect, otherwise it wouldn't be there in the Bible.

But I'm not sure. As Mandy says, we are all human, and even if we get our behaviour pegged, there's still our thoughts to deal with, and they can be pretty uncontrollable at times. Well, mine can!
